I am so happy to announce that the first annual WED Exchange in Columbia, Missouri was a HUGE success. It was SO good, we have decided to select dates for upcoming shows around the STATE! Can you believe it!? I mean seriously, it was better than I ever could have imagined!
The WED Exchange was held in Columbia, Missouri this past weekend on April, 14, 2013 at Muesao.
The WED Exchange is a bridal flea market where past brides sell their gently-used wedding decor and items to brides-to-be. It's also open to the public as well! The first WED Exchange benefited Brides Against Breast Cancer, where we were able to donate over $500 to this amazing cause!
With twenty minutes until the doors opened for the early-birds, there was a line of 80 people waiting outside. It was amazing to see all the brides who came out to get some great deals for their upcoming weddings! The first 50 brides received some pretty amazing swag bags filled to the brim with coupons, magazines, vendor information and goodies from professional vendors all over Mid-Missouri! The WED Exchange wasn't just for brides, many grooms came out as well! It probably helped that Big-O Tires in Columbia, Missouri donated an AMAZING grill to be auctioned off LIVE during the event as well!
Attendees has their choice of over 1000 items brought in from past brides, rental companies and wedding venues. There were gowns, glassware, centerpieces, candles, flowers and ceremony items. The items were all marked down 40 to 80% off retail as well, which made them more appealing and affordable to brides-to-be! Every little bit counts!
Throughout the room, there were also Professional Wedding Vendors, available to help brides tie up the loose ends of the planning process! They were a great addition to the Exchange, and many of the vendors have already turned in their information for the next show, saying The WED Exchange was one of the most unique events they have attended in years! One of the vendors even went as far as to say it was better than the local Bridal Shows they have attended in the past!
Thank you to EVERYONE who was involved in created this amazing, one-of-a-kind event! We are pleased to announce that The WED Exchange will be going on the road and traveling to a city near you in the future!!
