TBS Wedding: Ginny & David

Ginny & David's Wedding was absolutely one of our favorites of 2012.

Together with SilverBox Photographers and Kristen from Hoot Design Co., Ginny and David found themselves the winner of the Win Your DIY Wedding.  We couldn't help ourselves.  Ginny's vision was exactly waht we were looking for, the venue was stunning and the location ... well, who doesn't love Texas?

Yes, I said it!  We made the haul to Texas, which really wasn't all that bad, and landed right in the heart of Arlington.  Ginny & David were the sweetest couple, and it was such a pleasure to help them on their wedding day!  To be honest ... I am still giddy about the venue and location!

Here are a few highlights from SilverBox Photographers, who captured the day beautifully.

Wedding POT LUCK? — why yes!!

Christa, a go-to Catering Director for Fresh Ideas, describes the hardest thing for her to see at big weddings: the big waste that can be left behind. Wanting their wedding to be different (and DIY delightful!), this couple’s simple and superb solution: invite family and friends to bring signature dishes to Aunt Robin’s backyard ala Pot Luck Extraordinaire.

Brennan + Christa celebrate with a Vintage Lawn Gathering followed by backyard games, the laughter of friends and yummy dishes-to-die-for. Old books and antiques-all-about (including grandpa’s old typewriter as a guestbook!) set the scene for this celebration. And a s’mores station is but one of the many treats in store. aaah, a barn overlooking the gloriously gorgeous vineyard. yes, please! we LOVE chaumette winery — the views, the staff, the FOOD! and have been eagerly awaiting the completion of their pinterest-worthy barn. it’s NEARLY FINISHED we hear. And hip-hip-hooray, the delightful danielle + matt submitted an epically sweet application wrapped in rustic elegance.

antique windows will be used as seating charts with lanterns galore giving an ethereal and romantic feel. cameos will make a cameo appearance. and tree stump slices with danielle and matt’s initials carved into them add personalized charm.
