TBS Wedding: Sarah & Andy

Talk about a beautiful wedding! We had the honor of working with Sarah & Andy for well over a year now and I don't think their wedding could have turned out better!  They were a beautiful couple, and the decor and overall playfulness of their wedding was amazing!

Every little detail was overseen, from hanging umbrellas over the dance floor to personalized mason jars.  This wedding lacked nothing, and even included a signature smores bar!

Thanks to Catherine Rhodes Photography for capturing the love story!

Here's one of our favorite wedding's to date!

TBS Tip: You're Engaged ... Now WHO Pays for What?

Congratulations you're engaged! Now ... who is supposed to pay for what?
It's the side of weddings that no one really talks about, everyone tries to keep the payment responsibilities hush-hush. It's a conversation best had at the beginning of your wedding planning process, where all parties [both your family and his] can come together and talk about what everyone is willing [or capable] of paying.
There isn't a formula for payment responsibilities, and there certainly isn't a "normal" scenario. However, there is a list of traditional responsibilities that is a great place to start the conversation.
So You're Engaged ... Now Who Pays for What?

Brides Payment Responsibilities:
- Grooms Ring
- Bridesmaid Gifts
- Groom's Gift
- Parent's Gifts
- Bridesmaid Hair & Makeup for the Day-Of
Bride's Family Payment Responsibilities:
- Wedding Invitation Suites [including Save-the-Date, Invitations, thank you cards, Menu's, Programs, etc.]
- Engagement Party
- Wedding Planner [The Bridal Solution, llc.]
- Bridal Gown and accessories
- Bridal Luncheon
- Bridesmaid Bouquets
- Ceremony & Reception Florals
- Ceremony & Reception Site and Decor
- Entertainment for Ceremony & Reception
- Food for Reception
- Photographer
- Videographer
- Wedding Cake
- Transportation
- Vendor Gratuities
- Post-Wedding Brunch
Groom's Payment Responsibilities:
- Engagement & Wedding Ring for Bride
- Bridal Bouquet
- Gift for the Bride
- Groomsmen & Usher Gifts
- Marriage License
- Officiant Fee's
- Groomsmen Boutonnieres
- Groom's Attire and accessories
- Honeymoon [includes transportation]

Groom's Family Payment Responsibilities:
- Rehearsal Dinner Food & Beverages
- Wedding Attire
- Wedding Gift
- Reception & Cocktail Hour Beverages
- Groom's Cake
- Groom's Family Out-of-Town Guests Accommodations if Needed

Attendant Payment Responsibilities:
- Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties
- Bridal Showers
- Wedding Gifts
- Their Own Wedding Day Attire

Again, these are traditional financial responsibilities, and in today's world, when it comes to planning a wedding, anything goes! If you would like more information on Who Pays for What or would like to schedule a meeting with Natalie to discuss your upcoming wedding, please email Natalie at thebridalsolution@gmail.com.

TBS Inspiration: Sequins & Glamour - a Tablescape

We love the simplicity and sophistication of this styled shoot, perfect for a wedding or fancy dinner party!  Made possibly by Zest Floral and Event Design and Yasmin Khajavi Photography
This crip tablescape can eaisly be recreated.  To re-create this look,  find a glittery linen either at your local fabric store or rent this one here.  Create mirred vases by using mirror tiles on a square vase and the tall cylindar vases are easy with just water and a floating candle.  Throughout the space add mercury glass votices, and white or ivory clean linen napkins.  The clear charges are also available for rent here.

To find or create this look her in Mid-Missouri, Contact Natalie and her team, we would be happy to help you create the wedding or party of your dreams!

TBS Event: Redel Shower

This post is long overdue, but last month we had the pleasure of putting on a shower for Mrs. Kelly Redel.  We we so excited that we dove right into invitations, and after that, everything else fell into place.

The Shower was held at her house, which we used her living room to set up the main eating area.  It actually turned out great, as we could set up as early as we pleased and could use the kitchen.

Here are a few photos taken throughout the day, complete with bird cages, sangria bars and a chalkboard station to write your name on your mason jar!

TBS: Summer Crab Boil

The Bridal Solution doesn' just plan Weddings ... we plan every thing social ... like Crab Boils!

I am finally getting around to posting pictures and details from Bayler's 3rd Birthday Party which was at the end of June.  My how the time flies.  I know everyone says this, but I feel like it was just a year ago that I brought him home from the hospital.  It just makes me so sad to see him grow up, but I am so proud of all he has accomplished in the past few years.

This year we through Bayler a Crab Boil Party.  You can check out his cute invitation from this post here.  We decided to keep it pretty low key, so we invited family and a family friend and her son to join us.  Thank goodness too because it was tight quarters there for a while before we braved the heat outdoors.  Like most of Bayler's Parties, we had the pool and sprinklers out back for the kids to cool off ... which turned out to be a hit with the little ones!

The crab boil/nautical party was made complete with a blue and white stripped bunting banner from Betty and Barclay. We also served some Ocean Water [blue kool-aid] and Lake Water [sweet tea.]  I designed the cake and had it made, the letters were spray painted red from Hobby Lobby.  The Nemo Cookies ... the kids help me make them ... which turned out SO cute!  And like every party I create, I had to make water bottle labels to match the party!

FYI: Bayler's favorite movie is Nemo, so I thought it would fit perfectly within the nautical party!

Crab Boils are SO easy to do and there is something for everyone.  At this years Crab Boil we fed our guests: Crab, Crawfis, Corn, Poatoes and Shrimp... yummo!
